Jack E. Huffer, 72, of Tyner, Indiana, passed away on October 8, 2022.
Jack was born to Earl and Donna (Cudney) Huffer on August 2, 1950, in Plymouth, Indiana. He joined the US Army at 17 and proudly served his country, serving one tour of duty in Vietnam. He met and married his first wife and became the father of 2 children before returning to active duty for another tour.
After his wife's death, Jack met and fell in love with Deborah Pike. They were married on December 13, 1995 and together they raised their blended family.
Jack was employed various places to support his family. His final employment was for Indiana Heat, where he worked for several years. He was also a talented wood carver, creating many different items. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening.
Jack was the proud owner of 2 Studebakers, taking them out fro drives as often as possible. He especially loved to spend time with his family who will miss him terribly.
Jack is survived by his wife, Deb, of Tyner, Indiana, son, Jack (Teresa) Huffer Jr. of Lapaz, Indiana, daughter, Dawn (Mack) Huffer of South Bend, Indiana, stepson, Mark (Elizabeth) Pike of Argos, Indiana, sisters, Janice Williams of Florida and Sandy Skyderna of Rutland, Indiana, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation with the family will be held at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EST. There will be no funeral service.
