Amy Allison Dale



August 22, 1959 - May 24, 2025



Amy Allison Dale, 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2025.

Amy was born in Harvey, Illinois, to Harry and Dona (Koss) Dale. She was the youngest of three siblings, her beloved sister, Cynthia Falica and her brother, David Dale, her best friend. Her family moved to Culver, Indiana, where she attended Culver schools, including the Culver Academy, and fell in love with the water of Lake Macinkuckee. Amy was an avid sailor and loved to water ski.

Amy married Carl Seversen in Plymouth, Indiana, and together they had three children: Adam Seversen of Denver, Colorado, Hillary Seversen Cahill of Elyria, Ohio, and Elliott Seversen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Amy then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and pursued a career in education, earning a degree in sign language communication and childhood development at Milwaukee Area Technical college. She remarried Brian Smallcombe and had her fourth child: Emily Smallcombe of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Amy impacted the lives of many children while working for the Wauwatosa School District for fifteen years. Amy returned to the Culver area and continued her career as a teachers’ aid and language facilitator for the deaf through American Sign Language at the Culver Community School District.

Amy was a very passionate person and would often convey her feelings through her deep love of music. She cared about her friends and family very much and will be remembered as a fiery spirited woman with a loud laugh and a hug for anyone who needed it. May your legacy sail on, Amy Dale.

Amy is joining her heavenly family including her parents - Dona Koss Dale and Harry Dale, sister - Cynthia Falica, brother - David Dale, and previous husband - Carl Seversen,

Amy was blessed to have ten grandchildren: from son, Adam: Quest, Zenobia, and Fara, daughter Hillary: Michael, Treyce, Alexander, Grace, and Andrew, and son Elliott: Malia and Ariya.

A memorial will be held on her birthday, Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Lions Club Depot, 615 E Lake Shore Drive, Culver, Indiana.
