Billie Gene McCarty, 54, of Culver, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025, at his family home.
Billie was born on December 7, 1970, in Plymouth, Indiana. He graduated from Culver High School in 1989. He was very well-known in the Culver area for being an involved member of the community. He was very outgoing and had a huge heart. But he had an even bigger heart for his family. He recently started working at the Lake House Grille as a prep cook and really loved it.
He is survived by his birth mother: Eva (Rick) Murphy, his only child, Olivia (Joel) Wiseman, grandchildren: Lyla Niedbalski and Freya Wiseman, 4 brothers: Stephen (Carrie) Murphy, Michael (Emma) Murphy, Johnathan (Jenelle) Murphy, and Benjamin (Jessye) Murphy, 3 sisters: Elldonna (David) Ferguson, Patricia (Richard) Heitz, and Marthalee Kellogg, as well as lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents: Bill Sr. and Julia McCarty, his grandparents and several uncles.
Family and friends may join us for a graveside service celebrating Billie's life at the Culver Masonic Cemetery on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST followed by burial.
