Margaret A. 'Peg' Bennett



April 20, 1935 - October 8, 2025



Margaret Ann Bennett, 90, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Margaret was born on April 20, 1935, in Logansport, IN to Richard and Mildred Middleton.

Margaret worked for NIPSCO for 35 years, initially running the Culver office and then moving to the Engineering Department in Plymouth when the Culver office was closed. She was a long-time member of Tri-Kappa in Culver. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to a card group affectionately called the PIGS (Pretty Important Girls Society), this was a small group of neighborhood and local wives that met the first Monday of every month for cards, food and usually gossip. She was a member of Hoosier Old Wheels and enjoyed time riding in vintage cars, even crossing the US via the original Lincoln Highway in a 1934 Plymouth coupe.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Leon Bennett, sons: Charles Curtis, Scott (Amy) Curtis, and Trent (Tonya) Bennett, daughter, Cindy (Bruce) Carter, brother, David (Alice) Middleton, grandchildren: Matt (Megan) Carter, Vance Curtis, Katie (Ben) Withey, Ryan (Alyssa) Carter, Cameron (Bri) Curtis, Blake (Hannah) Bennett, Kyle (Taylor) Bennett, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST with the service immediately following.
